Leading Chinese PV inverter manufacturer Huawei said it is supplying string inverters to a 75MW fully digital utility-scale solar project in Brazil, which it claims is the first of its kind in the country.

Huawei said the project was set up for AES Tietê, a subsidiary of AES Corporation, which is a strategic partner of Huawei.
The general manager of Huawei Fusion Solar Latin America business said: "Now 5G, cloud computing and digital globalization are already industry trends, and the same is true for the solar industry. We believe that by showcasing the world's advanced Huawei Fusion Solar smart photovoltaic solution, we can provide the Brazilian solar industry with higher yields, lower LCOE, and intelligent operation and maintenance, as well as safe and reliable experience, and contribute to the Brazilian manufacturing industry."
AES has renewable energy projects under development or construction in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, El Salvador and Jordan.
