Recently, a national energy storage industry tour research group organized by the Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Chemical and Physical Power Sources Industry Association came to the Guangzhou Branch of TUV SUD Group (hereinafter referred to as "TUV SUD"). Ouyang Qiangyu, senior manager of the commercial product department of TUV SUD South China, and Li Rui, business development and sales manager, received the visiting research group and had in-depth exchanges on topics such as standard setting, testing and certification of battery products.

Ouyang Qiangyou introduced the basic situation of TUV SUD's business in the energy field to the research team: "TUV SUD is a one-stop technical service partner in the new energy field, and can provide testing and certification services for photovoltaic wind power generation, energy storage power stations, charging and swapping power stations and other projects. In the battery field, TUV SUD Battery Laboratory has obtained certification qualifications and authorizations from IECEE CBTL, China CNAS, Germany ZLS, etc. Regarding the testing and certification services for energy storage batteries and energy storage systems, TUV SUD can currently provide IEC 62619, IEC 62620 and RESS energy storage system certification."
Li Rui also mentioned at the scene: "The testing and certification process is also a process to help companies reflect on their designs. Testing and certification services can help companies ensure the reliability and safety of their products and projects to the greatest extent, and help domestic companies in need enter the international market."
Liu Yong, Secretary General of the Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association, said he was very happy to have the opportunity to come to TUV SUD for research and exchanges. He believed that "TUV SUD has rich experience and strong strength in certification and testing services. He hoped that the association could strengthen cooperation with TUV SUD in the formulation of energy storage battery and system standards in the future, promote the introduction of group standards and national standards in the energy storage field, and promote the standardized and healthy development of the industry."
Chen Yongchong, leader of the Energy Storage Technology Research Group at the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said: “I hope TUV SUD will continue to conduct in-depth research on energy storage system standards, especially safety standards, and explore a more reasonable and effective safety standard system. The safety standards in the energy storage field can draw on other industries, such as the aviation industry, to classify the safety level of products and systems, rather than just the two dimensions of safe and unsafe, so that the certification results are more valuable for reference and better serve enterprises and users.”
