With the popularization and promotion of distributed power generation, more and more users are using it and it is gradually entering the homes of ordinary people. Therefore, for the only power generation equipment that users can face, how to make it intelligent and achieve friendly human-machine communication is particularly important. In particular, the dispersion of household machines is not convenient for manufacturers to maintain them centrally. How to grasp the real-time status of inverters is mostly installed under the eaves of the door outside the house or on the left and right sides of the wall. In order to understand the operating status of the machine, different display and communication methods will bring different machine experience to users. At present, there are two main solutions for human-machine interaction of photovoltaic inverters of mainstream manufacturers in China: LCD screen display and LED light status display.

Most inverter manufacturers on the market will use the LCD display solution, which can read data directly on the machine. It seems to be convenient, but there are many problems in actual application. First, the LCD screen is like a chicken rib for home users. In order to control costs, many manufacturers have basically castrated the display size and display functions, and it is also inconvenient for users to check the display screen (especially when these machines are hung very high or under certain light angles) to check the operating parameters of the machine. Second, the LCD display screen is vulnerable, and flower screen and black screen failures often occur. Third, the operation of the LCD display screen, especially some manufacturers' equipment requires some protective parameters to be set through the display screen, is obviously not so friendly for non-professional users.

The solution of simply using LED status lights to display can avoid the defects of the above LCD display solution, but because the data is not intuitive and can only reflect the equipment status but cannot provide more detailed equipment data, it cannot meet the needs of customers and EPCs in applications.
