Recently, Delta Group assisted in the construction of 126 solar power stations in Vandel, Denmark, with a total AC output capacity of 50.4MW. Through 1,008 Delta RPI M50A solar photovoltaic inverters with an energy conversion efficiency of 98.6% and a shell protection level of IP65, this project will generate 71.7 million kWh of electricity per year, which can provide clean electricity for 21,500 Danish households for a whole year, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 30,940 tons.
Zheng An, Vice President and General Manager of Delta's Power Systems Business Group, said: "Delta's efficient and reliable solar photovoltaic inverters help Denmark accelerate the development of renewable energy. In the face of the global trend of carbon reduction, Delta is committed to creating innovative energy-saving solutions. From 2010 to 2015, Delta has saved 17.3 billion kWh of electricity for global customers, equivalent to 9.2 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, specifically echoing the business mission of 'environmental protection, energy saving and love the earth'."
Delta Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) General Manager Chang Tsai-shing stressed: "Delta's team, with its rich experience in integration, successfully assisted in the construction of a solar power project with a total installed capacity of 50.4MW. This is one of the largest cases in the field of renewable energy in Delta's EMEA region, and also marks a milestone for the related business to move from home and commercial applications to power plant level."
Delta's M50A series solar photovoltaic inverter has an energy conversion efficiency of up to 98.6%, which meets the needs of high power generation efficiency of power plants. The housing with IP65 protection level can better withstand the harsh climate environment in Denmark. In addition, string inverters are more flexible to install than centralized inverters, and have built-in DC fuses and lightning protection (SPD), so there is no need to install an external DC connection box. The plan includes a total of 126 solar power stations, each with a capacity of approximately 400kW. The planned base is located in the Vandel area of Denmark, which is the former site of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Air Force Base, covering an area of 108 hectares (one square kilometer), equivalent to the size of 150 football fields. The planned annual power generation is expected to be 71.7 million kWh, which can meet the annual electricity needs of 21,500 Danish households.
