Recently, Beijing Tiancheng Tongchuang Electric Co., Ltd.'s modular photovoltaic grid-connected inverter (TC 630PVI-03GCTL) underwent a single-module inverter bridge positive and negative short-circuit test at the Beijing Jianheng Certification Center (CGC) Tokto Field Photovoltaic Product Demonstration Base. The test was successfully completed and achieved the expected results.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the on-site test, both parties conducted a series of evaluations on the short-circuit protection design scheme of the inverter under test, the simulation test scheme and results, etc.

The successful completion of this test proves that Tiancheng Tongchuang's TC 630PVI-03GCTL modular photovoltaic grid-connected inverter has the ability to generate electricity uninterruptedly when the positive and negative poles are short-circuited inside a single module. When the positive and negative poles are short-circuited inside a single module, the inverter can be normally protected within 9ms without catching fire or exploding. The non-faulty module can automatically restart within 30s after the faulty module is protected, and the sum of the output power of the non-faulty modules within the normal allowable working range is equal to the sum of the output power of the three modules before the fault.

The CGC Tuoketuo Field Photovoltaic Product Demonstration Base is located in Wushijia Town, Tuoketuo County, Hohhot City. It is an important part of the National Energy Wind and Solar Energy Simulation and Testing Certification Technology Key Laboratory. The first phase has built 20MWp. The demonstration base provides demonstrations of string, centralized, distributed, and modular photovoltaic inverters, demonstrations of photovoltaic modules of different specifications and technical routes, and system demonstrations of different bracket types and tracking forms. At the same time, the base is also equipped with a high-precision environmental monitoring system that meets the requirements of IEC 61724, which is used for system demonstration work such as the performance of the power station and the economic and technical comparison of the best photovoltaic power station. At present, the demonstrations conducted at the base include component products using PERC, MWT, double-glass, and bifacial technologies from major domestic manufacturers, as well as string, centralized, modular, and distributed inverter products. The demonstration results will provide reliable support for standard improvement, technical improvement, and policy formulation.
