Han Yi, deputy secretary-general of the China Electrotechnical Society, said that the number of Chinese electrical engineering technicians around the world is quite large and has made remarkable achievements in the field of electrical engineering in relevant countries. Strengthening close ties between Chinese people is the appeal of Chinese electrical and energy practitioners around the world, and also reflects the concept of global interconnection and shared development. Since the launch of global Chinese electrical and energy cooperation at the China Electric Power Returnees Conference held in Changsha in November 2015, overseas Chinese professional organizations have grown rapidly and new organizations have been established one after another. The "2016 Global Chinese Electrical and Energy Engineers Conference and Energy Internet Equipment Technology Summit Forum" has received support from Chinese people from all over the world. It is hoped that everyone will uphold the concept of "exchange, cooperation, exploration and win-win", implement the national "Belt and Road", "International Capacity Cooperation", "Going Global", "Supply-side Structural Reform" strategies, the "Made in China 2025" plan, and implement the concept of "Global Energy Internet".
The event congratulated Professor Xu Dianguo of Harbin Institute of Technology, Professor Dong Xinzhou and Professor Kang Chongqing of Tsinghua University for being elected as IEEE Fellows. Dr. Zhang Xiaofeng of the US-China Green Energy Promotion Association supports the establishment of the Global Chinese Energy Internet Technology Industry Alliance and calls on industry professionals to attend the "US-China Green Energy Summit" to be held in Chengdu, China in September next year.
Zhang Xiaoping, executive director of the UK branch of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering and professor at the University of Birmingham, said that the establishment of the Global Chinese Energy Internet Technology Industry Alliance is a major event in global Chinese cooperation. In the future, the UK branch will work hand in hand with the alliance to open a new chapter in the cooperation between China and the UK in the field of energy internet, become a supporting cooperation platform connecting Chinese and British scholars, and become a bridge of cooperation and innovation for the industry-university-research cooperation of the China-UK energy internet.
Wu Jianzhong, executive chairman of the UK branch of the China Electrotechnical Society and professor at Cardiff University, expressed gratitude on behalf of the UK branch for the establishment of the Global Chinese Energy Internet Technology Industry Alliance, and said that the UK branch will use its human and technical resources to actively support the alliance's work, participate in alliance activities, and promote the alliance's construction and development.
Chen Zhe, director of the organizing committee of the Nordic Chinese New Energy Association, said that the Nordic Association mainly consists of transmission and distribution network companies in the five Nordic countries, large enterprises such as ABB, universities and research institutions, wind power and photovoltaic companies related to new energy, and is currently in the process of active preparation. On behalf of the chairman of the organizing committee, IEEE Fellow, Professor Dong Chaoyang of the University of Sydney, and members, Zhou Lin, Director of the Preparatory Committee of the Australian and Asian Chinese Electricity and Energy Association, expressed warm congratulations to the three experts and scholars from mainland China who were selected as IEEE Fellows in 2016. Director Zhou believes that Australia is one of the regions with abundant and developed clean energy, and hopes to make positive contributions to the construction of industrial alliances in the field of new technology innovation in the power generation and distribution of energy Internet power sources. At the same time, he said that ACEEA will hold its founding meeting in May 2017 when it is officially registered in Sydney, Australia in early 2017.

Xia Xiaohua, an academician of the South African Academy of Engineering and the Academy of Sciences and a professor at the University of Pretoria, expressed his support and active participation in the construction of the Global Chinese Energy Internet Alliance. He will use the South African National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Research Base, which he leads, as a basis and his status as an advisor to the South African government to integrate South Africa and Africa's technology and market resources in future energy systems, and provide a path for international cooperation in electricity and energy.

Experts believe that the construction of the Global Chinese Energy Internet Technology Industry Alliance should study and formulate a regional energy Internet technology roadmap and related technical standards and specifications, organize experts and scholars to carry out energy Internet technology innovation and key technology research, provide relevant consulting services, and implement them in the implementation of major regional projects and the development of technical equipment, and jointly promote the construction of energy Internet pilot projects with investors, local governments and other forces.
