[Ahmedabad, India, September 16] Recently, Indian photovoltaic giant Adani signed a procurement contract with Huawei. All of Adani's projects in the next year will adopt Huawei's FusionSolar3.0 smart photovoltaic solution. The first 500MW procurement contract has been signed, and the company will purchase the latest smart photovoltaic controller (string inverter) SUN2000-43KTL, data collector SmartLogger, PLC communication, anti-PID module, smart photovoltaic management system and other complete solutions.

Adani is one of the largest business groups in India. Since 2006, the group has entered a period of rapid development. Based on the Pit-to-Plug business model, Adani has become the largest comprehensive energy player in India. Its new energy subsidiary, Adani Green Energy, is mainly engaged in the development of new energy such as solar energy and wind energy. At present, Adani operates the largest single 648MW solar power station in India, with strong development momentum.

It is understood that Adani's plan for the Indian market is: in the next five years, the annual output of photovoltaic modules will reach 1GW and 10GW of new power stations will be built, contributing to the national development goal of 100GW of renewable energy in 2022.

To achieve its planning goals, Adani actively searches for strong partners around the world. In the past two years, with the rise of "smart photovoltaics", Huawei's smart photovoltaic solutions have been widely used around the world, and its value of "efficient power generation, intelligent operation and maintenance, safety and reliability" has been highly recognized by customers. Huawei's outstanding performance overseas made Adani lock in cooperation with it at the first time.

Jayant Parimal, CEO of Adani Green Energy, said that Adani was deeply impressed by Huawei's professional philosophy of customer-centricity and continuous value creation for customers. Most importantly, as a major project developer in India, Adani not only expects continuous and higher power generation, but also needs high-tech to help achieve higher efficiency, intelligent operation and better economic benefits. The FusionSolar smart photovoltaic solution provided by Huawei is highly consistent with Adani's needs. Next, Adani will also have in-depth discussions, exchanges and cooperation with Huawei on future new energy development, intelligent operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power stations, etc.

According to the energy plan announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's total installed capacity of solar power generation will reach 100GW by 2022. With the surge in photovoltaic installed capacity, the operation and maintenance of power stations in the later stage has become increasingly important. The strong cooperation between Huawei and Adani has not only helped Adani set an industry benchmark, but also further improved the standards of India's photovoltaic industry.
