China Energy Storage Network News: On July 28, 2016, Yantai Public Transport Group and Yantai Oriental Energy Technology Co., Ltd. jointly signed the "Yantai Public Transport Group High-tech Zone Station Photovoltaic Charging Station Construction and Operation Cooperation Agreement". The "Agreement" stipulates that from now on, the two parties will jointly invest in the construction of "Distributed Photovoltaic Intelligent Electric Bus Charging Station". The project site is located at the Public Transport Group High-tech Zone Bus Station, and the construction period is expected to be about 3 months. After completion, Yantai Public Transport Group's electric buses will be charged by solar energy.
According to the agreement, the photovoltaic charging station project of the bus station in the High-tech Zone includes 10 charging piles, power distribution equipment and supporting charging and distributing parts, carport distributed photovoltaic parts, and photovoltaic charging station system parts. Among them, the charging piles use 60KW double-gun electric piles, which meet international requirements and match the electric bus models put into operation by the bus group.

The project construction party will build a carport photovoltaic at the existing location of the high-tech zone bus station and add a transformer to meet the needs of charging piles and photovoltaic grid connection. According to the information provided by the project construction party, after the completion of the project, the annual power generation can reach 470,000 KWH, which can meet the charging needs of 100 electric buses with a full voltage range.
Li Jinwen said that electric buses and photovoltaic charging facilities are an important part of Yantai's development of clean energy, smart cities, and smart transportation infrastructure. It is also a beneficial attempt at the "new energy + electric bus operation new model."
