Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC; President and CEO Kiyotaka Machida) shipped about 3.6GW of industrial photovoltaic inverters in fiscal 2015. Since fiscal 2009, the cumulative shipment capacity has reached 8.3GW. The total shipment capacity in fiscal 2015 increased by 1.4 times year-on-year. This achievement is attributed to the company's vigorous promotion of overseas sales while maintaining considerable sales in Japan.
In Japan, there is a strong market demand for 1000Vdc large-capacity photovoltaic inverters. At the same time, the construction of large-scale photovoltaic power stations in the United States is also increasing rapidly. On the other hand, TMEIC's sales in India are in a period of rapid expansion, and it has established a production base in India in 2014. The above trends have promoted the growth of the company's shipment performance.
In China, due to the CQC leader test, TMEIC's 1MW inverter has a Chinese efficiency of 98.61% when connected to crystalline silicon modules and 98.67% when connected to thin-film modules. It is the only energy-efficient Class 1 inverter in China so far (the Chinese efficiency of a Class 1 inverter must exceed 98.5%), and has been favored by more and more power plant investment and ownership companies that are concerned about the power generation efficiency and reliability of power plants.
