Taiwan-based Sino-Metric Solar Technology Co., Ltd. has signed a memorandum of cooperation with China's Huawei to cooperate in the field of solar photovoltaic inverters. Sino-Metric Solar Technology Co., Ltd. will install Huawei's FusionSolar smart photovoltaic power station solution in new power stations and also obtain sales agency rights, vertically integrating Sino-Metric Solar Technology Co., Ltd.'s solar solutions to jointly expand global business opportunities.

In recent years, the semiconductor manufacturer Sino-Mei Crystal has gradually expanded into the production and manufacturing of solar silicon wafers, monocrystalline cells and modules. It has also started to invest in solar power plants, and has built solar power plants in Taiwan and abroad. This year, it is expected that a 50MW solar power plant in the Philippines will be completed, with one-stop vertical integration capabilities from upstream to downstream.

Looking ahead to the future global solar market layout, Sino-US Crystal will strengthen the missing links of key components such as solar inverters through its alliance with Huawei. The Huawei FusionSolar smart solar solution that Sino-US Crystal will adopt combines Huawei's wireless communication network and cloud big data technology. It is a product characterized by full digitalization, simplification, and global automatic operation. In the future, the two parties will cooperate to develop the solar energy market at home and abroad.

Sino-US Crystal estimates that after adopting FusionSolar, the power generation efficiency of the power station can be improved by about 5%, and the internal rate of return (IRR) can also increase by 2.75%; in addition, the operation and maintenance efficiency can be greatly improved by 50%, making the power plant operation safer and more reliable, and increasing the operating income of the power plant.
