On November 7, 2015, Nortel Energy (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. received a notice that its BDM-300 microinverter successfully passed Hawaii certification (TROV-2 and full FVRT).
The BDM-300 microinverter can be installed with a 250W\300W PV Pannel. The NEP microinverter solar system is easy to install, and each microinverter can be easily installed on the bracket under the panel. The Nortel Energy (NEP) BDM-300 microinverter comes with two cables: one is the traditional T-type cable, and the other is a hand-in-hand cable, which is easier to install and connect to the grid. All inverter information on the NEP microinverter network will be automatically transmitted to the NEP monitoring website and analysis server. The energy monitoring and analysis software will show operating trends, prompt abnormal events, etc., and can also stop the system operation when necessary. The BDM-300 microinverter can be directly connected to the single-phase grid, or it can be connected to the three-phase grid through multiple units in the form of multiple single-phase grid connections.
NEP said that the approval of this certification is a new standard for voltage ride-through and frequency set for Hawaii's "changing grid." Due to the high penetration of photovoltaics in the power grid network of these islands, Hawaii has become one of the most popular regions in the field of solar energy, and has also recently attracted much attention in the field of energy storage. In some areas, more than 10% of the population has installed solar energy on their roofs. Looking to the future, Hawaii has recently committed to achieving a renewable energy target of 65% by 2030, but has also promised to reduce consumers' energy bills by 20% by then, which means that photovoltaic integration will become a more urgent concern in the near future; the approval of NEP microinverter Hawaii certification will also further promote the development of NEP's market, thus opening a new chapter in the global market for Nortel Energy.
