From photovoltaic module efficiency to photovoltaic system efficiency, the word "efficiency" can be said to be the core word in people's pursuit of clean solar electricity.
The same is true for the inverter market. In the process of converting solar energy into grid-usable electricity, the photovoltaic inverter plays the role of a "bridge" and is a key factor affecting the final power generation of the system. And conversion efficiency is of course the first consideration factor for the quality of photovoltaic inverters.
There is a big difference in "efficiency" between China and foreign countries
The standards for efficiency vary greatly from place to place. In Europe and the United States, "European efficiency" and "California efficiency" are usually adopted. In China, we now have our own "Chinese efficiency".
"China Efficiency" was proposed by Jianheng Certification Center. It comprehensively considers the distribution of sunshine resources and temperature in typical areas of China, as well as the weight coefficients of different load points. This coefficient reflects the distribution of solar energy resources. It is a more scientific and authoritative efficiency evaluation system, and is also more in line with China's actual situation, more convincing and more valuable for reference.
In terms of photovoltaic inverters, their efficiency is closely related to the size of the DC input power, that is, the load rate of the inverter. The efficiency of the inverter is different under different load rates. There is a loophole in using only the maximum efficiency measured at a certain load point as an indicator to measure the efficiency of the inverter, and the "China Efficiency" evaluation system perfectly avoids this.
At present, the inverter market is evenly divided between centralized and string types, but has not yet reached the commanding heights of increased efficiency. The leapfrog upgrade of the industry requires the introduction of more advanced technologies and the acceptance of a new "catfish".
Aim for the "China Efficiency" of Distributed and Centralized Inverters
It is reported that many products of Sineng Electric Co., Ltd., the largest inverter supplier in the domestic high-end power generation market, have reached the "China Efficiency" standard, including the centralized inverters that dominate the market and the new distributed inverters.
"The Sineng EP-0500-A inverter has a China efficiency of 98.32%, making it the most efficient centralized inverter product in China; the Sineng CP-1000 inverter has a China efficiency of 98.34%, making it the most efficient distributed inverter in China and the first distributed photovoltaic inverter in the industry to pass the China efficiency certification," said a Sineng staff member.
As an emerging technology school in the market, distributed inverters combine the advantages of string inverters and centralized inverters, with decentralized optimization control and centralized grid connection. It is reported that its stability is better than that of string inverters, but its power generation benefits are much higher than those of centralized inverters, and it has the same advantages as centralized inverters in terms of output power quality and grid connection performance. The reporter learned from multiple owners that the distributed inverter solution has higher power generation benefits than the centralized inverter solution and lower costs than the string inverter solution, which can increase the system power generation by 2% to 5% and reduce the system cost by 70,000 to 160,000 yuan/MWp.
The “energy column” behind the quality commitment
With high power generation, stability and reliability, the excellent quality of Sungrow inverter products has not only won the unanimous recognition of owners, but also received the quality endorsement from certification agencies. Where does the energy behind this come from?
First of all, Sineng has the most complete large-scale ground photovoltaic power station solution in the industry. In addition to the mainstream centralized inverters and string inverters in the market, there are also emerging distributed inverters in the market. At the same time, Sineng keeps up with the forefront of industry technology development and is involved in off-grid inverters, intelligent operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power stations, active power filters, energy storage bidirectional converters and other fields, with precise efforts.
Secondly, the lack of core technology has always been a shortcoming of China's photovoltaic market. Sineng is one of the few companies in the industry that has completely independent intellectual property rights. Such strength also comes from its achievements in corporate mergers. In 2014, Sineng integrated the photovoltaic business of Emerson Network Power, a Fortune 500 company. Emerson is a long-established power electronics company with a history of more than 100 years and ranks second in the power electronics industry. In this integration, Sineng inherited Emerson's advanced R&D system and accumulated experience of 100 years, and fully achieved the world's advanced level in R&D, management and market.
So far, Sineng has shipped more than 6GW of power, and ranks second in the overall domestic market share. With the opportunity of the country's "Leader" plan to drive the industry's technological advancement, Sineng, which focuses on photovoltaic inverters, will also seize the market's commanding heights with its industry-leading technological strength.
