Recently, the SG1000HV centralized inverter developed by Sungrow has successfully passed the certification test of China Electric Power Research Institute GB/T19964-2012 "Technical Regulations for Access of Photovoltaic Power Stations to Power Systems", and fully complies with national standards in terms of low voltage ride-through (zero voltage ride-through), frequency adaptability, and power quality, becoming the first 1500V voltage-level photovoltaic inverter in China to pass this certification test.
SG1000HV is a new product launched globally by Sungrow in April this year. It has a rated AC power of 1000kW and a DC voltage of up to 1500V. It is currently the inverter with the highest voltage level in China. The photovoltaic system it forms can significantly reduce line losses, save cable equipment and installation costs, and increase power generation. It represents the future development direction of the photovoltaic industry.
According to the national standard GB/T19964-2012, the test results of China Electric Power Research Institute on SG1000HV show that: the SG1000HV inverter test unit successfully completed the low voltage ride-through (LVRT) test (including zero voltage ride-through) under three-phase symmetrical fault and asymmetrical fault conditions, and can be connected to the grid uninterruptedly during the voltage drop and recovery period at all test points; during various fault conditions, the tested units can quickly respond to output reactive power in accordance with national standards, effectively support grid recovery, and ensure grid stability; in the grid frequency disturbance test, the test unit can follow the frequency disturbance signal to perform corresponding correct actions, with very good frequency adaptability, meeting the grid connection requirements. At the same time, in the power quality harmonic test, the harmonic size of the tested inverter unit is better than the indicators specified in the standard.

It is understood that the use of 1500V system voltage can connect more components in each string, reducing the number of DC cables and combiner boxes used by the inverter. The reduced line loss can also fully increase the output power and further improve the power generation efficiency. According to industry insiders, with the continuous improvement and improvement of standards and technologies, and the continuous maturity of 1500V components, 1500V photovoltaic systems will surely become mainstream.
