After Tesla entered the market, the household large-capacity battery market seemed to have attracted a lot of attention. Some companies that have been focusing on this type of product have entered the media and public's field of vision, and many giants in the automotive and energy industries are sharpening their knives to enter the market.
Recently, Mercedes-Benz has also launched its own home battery product, which can be connected to home solar panels to collect electricity. It adopts a modular design, with a single capacity of 2.5KWh, and up to 8 batteries can be connected in parallel to obtain a capacity of 20KWh, which is twice Tesla's 10KWh.
Mercedes-Benz's home battery product will be launched in September this year, which may have a certain impact on Tesla's Powerwall. The maximum capacity of 20KWh means that it also has certain commercial potential. After all, ordinary household users do not need such a large amount of power storage.
I believe that Mercedes-Benz's entry is just the beginning, and more manufacturers will gradually enter the home battery market, especially now that the photovoltaic industry is becoming more and more powerful. At the recent Taipei Computer Show, we saw the full set of solutions brought by FSP (Fanhan). Perhaps for some areas with rich solar energy resources, solar energy + home batteries may not be a bad solution, but the pollution problem in the manufacturing process of the two cannot be ignored.
