On December 4, 2014, the chief engineer and deputy chief engineer of Ziyang Locomotive Company of CSR Group visited New Taihang Company of Cologne Group, accompanied by Chairman and President Cheng Qingfeng, Vice President Cheng Di, Chief Engineer Song Erhu, Chief Engineer of New Taihang Company Mu Peizhen, Director of the Research Institute Zhang Hongbing, and General Manager of the Science and Technology Branch Pan Jianming.
On the morning of the 4th, two experts from Ziyang Locomotive visited the exhibition hall of the Cologne Group. Bao Yingying, deputy director of the group office, gave a detailed introduction to the achievements and recent developments of the three major industries. The group chairman exchanged views with the visitors on the system thermal management issues faced by the lithium battery system for 2500KW hybrid locomotives. Two experts from CSR Ziyang Locomotive Company listened to the chairman's introduction in detail, and proposed that the New Taihang Company should make good use of the internal advantages of the Cologne Group, especially the technical advantages in heat exchangers should be integrated into product design to solve the current problems.
On the afternoon of the 4th, the visiting experts visited the New Taihang Company. The group's chief engineer Song Erhu, director Chen Baogui, and Wang Yixin respectively reported on the manufacturing process, testing, and high-current testing of the 2500KW hybrid locomotive battery, and had detailed exchanges on related issues; finally, Mr. Xu of CSR Ziyang Locomotive Company gave opinions and suggestions to the New Taihang on hybrid locomotive batteries.
At present, the New Taihang Company Research Institute is making rectifications in accordance with the opinions and suggestions put forward by experts from Ziyang Locomotive Company. We believe that through the active cooperation of both parties, in the near future, the New Taihang Company will definitely play a leading and exemplary role in the field of new environmentally friendly and energy-saving hybrid locomotives in my country's railway system.
