From December 18 to 20, 2014, the "2014 China Photovoltaic Industry Top 50 Innovation List Release and Award Ceremony" (PV TOP 50) and PV CHINA International Photovoltaic Exhibition were held in Shanghai. Sungrow became the only company to win three awards including "2014 China Photovoltaic Industry Top Ten Innovative Inverter Companies".
The TOP50 is selected once a year to recognize outstanding units that have significant innovations in the field of technology, good market potential, and good economic performance in photovoltaic products; as well as outstanding units that insist on innovation in technology research and development, business management or services, and have made remarkable achievements and outstanding contributions. After nomination, publicity, voting and expert final review, Sungrow won three awards, namely "Top 10 Innovative Inverter Enterprises in China's Photovoltaic Industry in 2014", "Top 10 Innovative Brand Influence Enterprises in China's Photovoltaic Industry in 2014" and "Top 10 Innovative Product Enterprises in China's Photovoltaic Industry in 2014", relying on its good market reputation, outstanding industry brand influence and technical advantages accumulated through continuous innovation.
At the PV CHINA International Photovoltaic Exhibition, Sungrow exhibited the single-phase low-power string inverter SG3KTL-S for household photovoltaic applications. The inverter has a rated output power of 3KW and is suitable for various residential roofs. It is one of the most efficient household photovoltaic inverters at present, with a maximum conversion efficiency of 98%; the whole machine weighs only 9Kg and can be easily installed and carried by one person. It is particularly suitable for rooftop power stations in underdeveloped areas such as rural and mountainous areas. This type of inverter has been widely used in overseas countries such as Germany and the Netherlands. It can be flexibly set up with debugging and monitoring functions according to the requirements of the installation operator. It is one of the current mainstream household photovoltaic inverters.
Since its establishment in 1997, Sungrow has always focused on the field of renewable energy power generation, and has insisted on taking market demand as its guide and technological innovation as its driving force for corporate development. Its domestic market share of photovoltaic inverters has exceeded 30% for many consecutive years, maintaining its first place in China. In 2013, its photovoltaic inverter shipments ranked second in the world.
