Tianneng once again topped the list of China's top ten lead-acid battery companies in 2013

On June 6, the 3rd China Light Industry Entrepreneurs Summit Forum and the Light Industry Top 100 Enterprises Awards Ceremony, themed on new economy, new model and new perspective, came to a close in Beijing. At the conference, the China Light Industry Federation and the China Battery Industry Association jointly released the 2013 China Lead Acid Battery Industry Top Ten List, and Tianneng Group (00819.HK) topped the list again. This is also the 17th consecutive year that the group has ranked first in the industry.

At the Tianjin International Bicycle and Electric Vehicle Exhibition in April 2014, Tianneng Battery launched two new products, the second-generation rare earth silica gel battery and the nano-modified 6-DZM-12 battery. The two new products use the patented technology of new grid alloy, which improves the deep discharge performance and cycle life of existing products by about 15%, and have become the "darlings" of participating dealers.

At the Small Pure Electric Vehicle Innovation Forum held in Zibo, Shandong in May, the same situation was repeated, and Tianneng Battery was still the first choice for most dealers. Tianneng's "New Nano Rare Earth Silicone Battery" product won the second prize of the 2013 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award, and the group was also awarded the title of China Light Industry R&D Innovation Advanced Enterprise.

During the two sessions of the National People's Congress in 2013 and 2014, Zhang Tianren, a deputy to the National People's Congress and chairman of Tianneng Group, has been calling for support for the development of the new energy industry. In order to welcome the new round of new energy industry development, the group has invested heavily in technology research and development and established a complete scientific research system, relying on multiple scientific and technological innovation platforms such as the National Enterprise Technology Center, the National Postdoctoral Research Station and the Enterprise Academician Expert Station. It is reported that in 2013, Tianneng's R&D investment in battery projects increased by 21%.
