International New Energy Network News: Qinghai Gonghe Phase II and Phase III are located in Gonghe County, Qinghai, with a total installed capacity of 40MW, with a total of 173,480 solar panels, 80 500KW photovoltaic grid-connected inverters, and 40 transformer stations installed. BYD provided 40 500kW photovoltaic grid-connected inverters totaling 20MW, and with its rich practical experience and excellent inverter quality and stability, ensured the safety and stability of Qinghai Gonghe Phase II and Phase III photovoltaic projects.
The inverter is the core equipment of the photovoltaic system. It has functions such as short circuit protection, island protection, reverse polarity protection, overheat protection and overload protection, and can perform maximum power point tracking. The quality of the inverter directly affects the safety and reliability of the photovoltaic power station. BYD Science Research Institute adopts the world's leading photovoltaic inverter system MPPT control algorithm, which makes the inverter efficiency reach more than 98%, and has various complete protection measures, high safety and reliability. In May 2012, BYD obtained 5 authoritative certification certificates from UL, one of which is BYD 250KW photovoltaic inverter, which is the third product in the world to obtain UL certification and the first photovoltaic inverter product in the Asia-Pacific region to obtain UL certification.
Before the Qinghai Gonghe project, BYD inverters had rich practical experience. BYD photovoltaic modules and inverters were deployed in Samba Energy in the United States in 2011 to provide stable solar energy resources for schools and commercial buildings. Since then, BYD inverters have been tested and played a role in safety protection in photovoltaic power stations around the world.
The photovoltaic park in Gonghe County, Qinghai Province has abundant panoramic sunlight and strong solar radiation, making it an ideal place to build a large photovoltaic power station. The second and third phases of the Qinghai Gonghe Project fully utilize this natural energy resource to build a total installed capacity of 40MW. The large scale of the power station plays a very important role in the sustainable economic development of the southwest region.
