Reporters learned from a symposium on international scientific and technological cooperation held by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China in Beijing that Zhuhai Yintong New Energy Co., Ltd.'s "International Cooperation Base for Lithium-ion Battery R&D and Industrialization" was recognized by the ministry as the eighth batch of national demonstration international scientific and technological cooperation bases.
It is understood that Zhuhai Yintong is the leader in the new energy industry. With Yintong Research Institute as the center, it has established a clear technical route with lithium titanate as the main route and lithium iron phosphate as the auxiliary route in terms of innovative R&D technology; in terms of market positioning, it strives to develop the "two major" industrial chains of new energy vehicle systems and energy storage systems. It has successively established Zhuhai Yintong New Energy Industrial Park and Hebei Yintong New Energy Industrial Base, and established the US New Energy Base on the basis of the successful acquisition of the US Aoti Nanotechnology Company, forming "three major bases"; the company has successfully built "four major platforms" covering technology, industry, market, and capital system and "five major cores" including core materials, core technologies, core patents, core structures, and core processes. At the same time, Zhuhai Yintong seeks to cooperate with new energy companies or institutions in Japan, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries to jointly establish an international new energy vehicle professional design institute, promote the research and development and industrialization of lithium-ion batteries, vigorously introduce international talents, and expand international cooperation channels.
It is reported that the National Demonstration International Science and Technology Cooperation Base will use the base as a carrier to vigorously advocate foreign cooperation with science and technology as the bond, so that international scientific and technological cooperation can shift from general exchanges and visits to economic construction, which will be conducive to exploring new cooperation mechanisms.
According to Wei Yincang, Chairman of Zhuhai Yintong, the recognition of the base marks that Yintong’s international scientific and technological cooperation mode has shifted from general personnel exchanges and project cooperation to a strategic combination of “projects – bases – talents”.
