There are two application modes for inverters: one is a single-phase string inverter/multi-phase string inverter, which is mainly used in residential and commercial areas. These inverters have good cost performance. Their placement can be based on a more reasonable electronic environment and easier access for maintenance. It is likely to become a mainstream solution in the next few years. Another type is a centralized inverter, which is mainly used in industrial rooftop and land projects. It is characterized by being optimized for high voltage, has a good cost performance, and has a full range of solutions that can be connected to the medium-voltage power grid.

In addition, the production and application of inverters must comply with the corresponding legal provisions and standards. Qualified product certification is one of the most important criteria for selecting products, and it must also pass a series of other test standards. The stability of the power grid becomes particularly important as the number of inverters increases. Inverters used in China must pass the LVRT (low voltage ride-through) regulations. If the inverter needs to be connected to the country's high-voltage transmission line network, it must also pass the LVRT regulations issued by the State Grid Corporation.
