Recently, 3M launched a new product for photovoltaic glass anti-reflection and anti-fouling coating, 3MTMGC-202 (hereinafter referred to as GC-202), with a transmittance of up to 2.5%-3%. This product is a nano photovoltaic glass anti-reflection and anti-fouling coating product developed by 3M with independent intellectual property rights. Corresponding to the response spectrum of photovoltaic cells, this product can achieve an average transmittance of 2.5%-3% in a wide spectrum range of 350nm~1100nm; considering the harsh environment that the components will be exposed to throughout their service life, GC-202 has been further demonstrated through a series of aging and mechanical destructive simulation tests to demonstrate its outstanding environmental tolerance (for details, please refer to the third-party test report and internal comparison report).

GC-202 coating is particularly suitable for single-sided roller coating process. Since this process has the lowest material loss compared to other processes, this product ensures a high cost-effectiveness. Compared with many other anti-reflective coatings, GC-202, with its unique aqueous phase system, shows better process simplicity and environmental protection, allowing its users to provide satisfactory batch products to photovoltaic module factory customers more quickly and without worries. Since the product has a shelf life of up to one year, it ensures that the user's production deployment plan can be more flexible and better cooperate with the production plan of the photovoltaic module factory.

In addition to its good anti-reflection effect, the easy-cleaning function of GC-202 can improve the anti-fouling ability of solar panels, minimize the output power attenuation of photovoltaic panels caused by dust accumulation, and greatly reduce the maintenance costs caused by cleaning photovoltaic panels.

The GC-202 anti-reflective and anti-fouling coating uses 3M's mature nanotechnology and outdoor traffic sign anti-fouling coating technology, further enriching 3M's product line as a supplier of photovoltaic module materials. It is another star product after 3M BBBF solar cell module backplane, 3M photovoltaic cell module frame bonding and sealing and other photovoltaic module materials.
