Sharp unveiled the thin-film Si solar cell module "NS-F140G5" with a module conversion efficiency of 10% for the first time at CEATEC. The module adopts a series structure of amorphous silicon layer and microcrystalline silicon stack, with a maximum output power of 140W. The overall dimensions are 1402mm×1001mm×24mm (the thickness of the glass part is 7.4mm). Detailed information such as the launch time is scheduled to be announced soon.
The module conversion efficiency of the thin-film Si solar cell modules currently sold by Sharp exceeds 9%. Although the module conversion efficiency has increased by less than 1 percentage point this time, "reaching 10% is of great significance" (commentator). This is because many users have asked, "Has it not reached 10% yet?" Reaching 10% this time will be more advantageous in terms of sales and technology promotion in the future.
In addition, Sharp also exhibited the monocrystalline silicon solar cell module "BLACKSOLAR" with a back contact structure. The module consisting of 42 units has a conversion efficiency of 16.5% and a maximum output power of 190W, and the module consisting of 30 units has a conversion efficiency of 15.9% and a maximum output power of 135W.
