The 2010 Shanghai World Expo advocates the "low-carbon" concept. Solar energy technology is most commonly used in the construction of Expo venues because of its mature technology. The Zero Carbon Pavilion, the Expo London case of the urban best practice area, was officially opened on May 5. The Zero Carbon Pavilion has become a highlight of the low-carbon Expo because of its comprehensive use of clean energy technologies such as solar energy.

Himing Clean Energy Holdings provides solar thermal and photovoltaic products and related services for the Zero Carbon Pavilion, helping the Zero Carbon Pavilion achieve its "zero carbon" goal. The Zero Carbon Pavilion applies many leading technologies in the field of solar energy, and realizes solar air conditioning dehumidification for the first time in China. The solar water heating system is equipped with remote monitoring to achieve intelligent operation. Both solar thermal and photovoltaic fields are perfectly combined with buildings.

According to Chen Shuo, President of the UK Zero Carbon Centre China and Director of the Zero Carbon Pavilion, the Zero Carbon Centre has been cooperating with Huangming for five years, from the world's first zero-carbon community, the Beddington community in London (the prototype of the Zero Carbon Pavilion) to today's Zero Carbon Pavilion case, and is developing a deeper cooperation.

"Solar energy technology is mature and has been commercialized on a large scale. It is a very effective way to promote the development of a low-carbon economy. In addition, new energy sources such as solar energy have begun to transform from alternative energy sources to mainstream energy sources." Huang Ming, vice chairman of the International Solar Energy Society and chairman of Huangming Solar Energy, said that solar energy has achieved boiling water in Antarctica, heating in Mohe, and cooling in Sanya, Hainan, and has achieved 24-hour all-weather automated operation of collective solar water heating systems in hotels, hospitals, schools and other units.

At the same time as the opening of the Zero Carbon Pavilion, the country's first "Zero Carbon Alliance" was officially established. The alliance was initiated by the Zero Carbon Center and consists of more than 20 companies including Huangming Solar Energy, Longfor Properties, Nature Flooring, and Tsingtao Beer. It aims to jointly develop green new energy and reduce the impact of carbon emissions on the climate.
