A junior female student invented a solar panel that was originally fixed and rotated with the sunlight, thus extending the duration of illumination. Yesterday, a reporter learned from the School of Foreign Trade and Economics of Wuhan University of Science and Technology that the sunflower-shaped solar energy invented by Qiu Yan, a junior female student of the school, has obtained the "Utility Model Patent Certificate" issued by the State Intellectual Property Office.
After consulting the information, Qiu Yan found a solution: find a solar circuit board and install it on the same plane as the solar energy conversion device. When the light is directly shining, the potential difference on both sides of the circuit board is zero, otherwise it is not zero; after the sensor in the system receives the signal from the circuit board, it sends a signal to control the on and off of the circuit, thereby controlling the rotation of the motor, and then adjusting the position of the solar energy conversion device so that it always faces the sun, thereby improving the efficiency of solar energy absorption. In October 2008, Qiu Yan applied for her own patent to the State Intellectual Property Office for this invention, and was granted the patent in 2009.
