MCS-51 is a standard 40-pin dual in-line integrated circuit chip

  P0.0~P0.7: P0 port 8-bit bidirectional port line.

  P1.0~P1.7: P1 port 8-bit bidirectional port line.

  P2.0~P2.7: P2 port 8-bit bidirectional port line.

  P3.0~P3.7: P3 port 8-bit bidirectional port line.

ALE: Address latch control signal. When the system is expanded, ALE is used to control the latching of the lower 8-bit address output by the P0 port to achieve isolation of the lower address and data. In addition, since ALE outputs a positive pulse at a fixed frequency of 1/6 of the crystal oscillator, it can be used as an external clock or external timing pulse.

PSEN: External program memory read strobe signal. When reading external ROM, PSEN is valid (low level) to realize the read operation of external ROM unit.

EA: access program storage control signal. When the signal is low, the read operation of the ROM is limited to the external program memory; when the signal is high, the read operation of the ROM starts from the internal program memory and can be extended to the external program memory.

RST: reset signal. When the input reset signal continues to be at a high level for more than two machine cycles, it is effective to complete the reset initialization operation of the microcontroller.

XTAL1 and XTAL2: external crystal lead terminals. When using the chip's internal clock, these two lead terminals are used to connect the external quartz crystal and trimmer capacitor; when using the external clock, these two lead terminals are used to connect the external clock pulse signal.

  VSS: ground wire.

  VCC: +5V power supply.

The above is the definition and simple function description of the 40 pins of the MCS-51 microcontroller chip. Readers can find the corresponding pins according to the training circuit and check the connection and use of each pin in the circuit.

LCD display of MCS-51 microcontroller
Using MCS-51 microcontroller to drive LCD display is not the knowledge of microcontroller itself. The LCD I used is 1602 LCD screen. It is mainly necessary to check the documents of related chips by yourself, so it is naturally a big challenge to English reading ability. When reading documents, we only need to pay

MCS-51 series microcontroller bit control transfer instructions (5)
Boolean processing is an important feature of the MCS-51 series of microcontrollers, which is set up for practical application needs. Boolean variables are also switch variables, which are operated in bits. In terms of physical structure, the MCS-51 microcontroller has a Boolean processor that uses the carry flag as

"Addressing Range" in MCS-51 Microcontroller Assembly
You don't have to worry about the number of bytes occupied by the instructions, because the ROM capacity of current microcontrollers is quite large. However, if you do not pay attention to the addressing range, errors will easily occur once the assembly source program becomes long. Especially jump instructions, etc.

[Assembly Learning Notes] MCS-51 Addressing Mode
There are seven addressing modes for MCS-51 instructions: 1. Immediate addressing - the operand appears directly in the instruction. The operand can be #da ta or #da ta16      MOV A,#da ta      MOV DPTR,# data16 2. Indirect addressing - the unit address of the operand appears directly in the instruction. This a

Characteristics and operation of parallel port P0 of MCS-51 series microcontroller
      1. P0 port characteristics:       Port P0 is a three-state bidirectional I/O port. For a microcontroller basic system with internal program memory (such as a customized 8051), port P0 can be used as an input/output port to directly connect to external input/output devices; it can also be used as an address/data

Characteristics and Operation of Parallel Port P2 of MCS-51 Series Microcontrollers
The parallel P2 port of the MCS-51 series microcontroller also has two functions. For microcontrollers with internal program memory (such as customized 8051), the P2 port can be used as an input port or an output port to directly connect input/output devices; it can also be used as a system expansion address bus port

How many I/O lines are there in the pins of the MCS-51 series microcontrollers?
Question: How many I/O lines are there in the pins of the MCS-51 series microcontrollers? What is the relationship between them and the address bus and data bus of the microcontroller? How many bits are there in the address bus and data bus? How big is the address space that can be addressed externally?  Answer: The 8

MCS-51 MCU external pins and bus interface
The 51 series microcontrollers generally use a 40-pin dual in-line package (DIP) package structure. In addition to the DIP package, the 51 microcontroller also uses a 44-pin square flat (QFP - Quad Flat Package) package (4 pins are useless). Three categories Port pins (32 in total) Power supply and crystal pins (
