Coin acceptor wiring method, coin acceptor output signal, coin acceptor selection, coordination with coin acceptor computer controller and other important performance indicators of coin acceptor......
1. What is the wiring of the coin acceptor like?
There are several ways to connect a coin acceptor. Generally speaking:
The simple single output wiring method is: the red wire is connected to the positive terminal of the DC +12V power supply; the black wire is connected to the negative terminal of the DC +12V power supply; the white wire is the signal line (refer to the description of item 2); the two gray wires on both sides are used to connect the code meter (note that the code meter is a +12V electronic code meter), such as our company's EU1, EU2, SK and other coin acceptors.
The wiring of parallel output signals needs to refer to the product specifications of each company, such as our company's HI-09 coin acceptor. Generally, this method is used for multi-coin acceptors to distinguish between different coin outputs.
2. What is the output power of the coin acceptor?
The coin acceptor itself is an open collector output of a triode, so it has no output power. The general usage method is to get an output pulse of a certain amplitude at the collector through a pull-up resistor.
3. What is the output signal of the coin acceptor? What is the voltage of the output signal of the coin acceptor?
In order to cooperate with the detection chip interface of different levels, the output signal of the general coin acceptor on the market is an open collector signal, that is, the output signal itself has no voltage output. It needs to be realized by connecting an external pull-up resistor. As shown in the figure: The voltage value of the external pull-up power supply determines the voltage level of the external pulse signal.
4. What does the output of the coin acceptor, NO/NC, mean? How to choose? (The premise of the analysis is that there is already a pull-up resistor)
The NC of the coin acceptor means that the coin acceptor is at a low level under normal circumstances, and the signal will have a high level pulse only when a coin input signal is output; while the NO of the coin acceptor means that the coin acceptor should be at a high level under normal circumstances, and the signal will have a low level pulse only when a coin input signal is output.
5. How to connect the coin acceptor to the computer? What should I do if I want to connect the coin acceptor to the computer so that the computer can know how many coins have been inserted?
The coin acceptor itself outputs a pulse signal, and the computer can only interface with external hardware devices through a serial port or a USB port. Therefore, to connect the coin acceptor to a computer, it is necessary to convert the pulse signal output by the coin acceptor into a serial port signal or USB port data that the computer can recognize.
The function of our company's WF-700 and WF-700B circuit boards is to convert the pulse signal of the coin acceptor into serial port data that the computer can recognize, while the WF-400 converts the pulse signal of the coin acceptor into a USB port signal that the computer can recognize. On the computer side, the customer only needs to develop a host computer program according to the protocol to read the serial port data.
6. How to choose a coin acceptor? If you know which type of coin acceptor you need for your project?
There are comparison type coin acceptors, one-yuan special coin acceptors, and multi-coin intelligent coin acceptors.
Among them, the comparison type coin acceptor compares with the sample coin to decide whether to accept the coin. Therefore, in theory, as long as the coins, tokens, or game coins to be accepted are clamped on the coin acceptor, such a coin acceptor can accept any kind of coins, tokens, or game coins. (Of course, only one kind can be accepted). The
one-yuan special coin acceptor is specially designed for one-yuan coins, so it has a higher recognition accuracy for one-yuan coins. The
multi-coin intelligent coin acceptor is characterized by being able to accept multiple coins at the same time, and output different pulse signals according to different coins. Therefore, the design of this type of coin acceptor is relatively difficult, and the stability requirements of the coin acceptor are relatively high.
7. How is the performance of a coin acceptor in identifying counterfeit coins defined? Is there a coin acceptor that can identify counterfeit coins "100%"?
The identification of counterfeit currency by coin acceptors is a relatively complex concept. Moreover, the types of counterfeit currency appearing in different regions are also different. Therefore, there is no unified measurement and evaluation standard for the identification performance of counterfeit currency. It is necessary to make judgments based on different regions. Generally speaking, when a certain counterfeit currency appears in large quantities in a certain market, you can contact the coin acceptor manufacturer to upgrade the coin acceptor or use the latest design of the coin acceptor. It is impossible for a so-called coin acceptor to identify 100% of counterfeit currency on the market.
8. What is the most important indicator of a coin acceptor?
The most important indicators of a coin acceptor are its counterfeit coin recognition performance, the smoothness of the coins during insertion, and the stability of the coin acceptor's design performance.
9. Why doesn’t the coin acceptor count the points after receiving the coin?
(1) Check whether the switch (normally open, normally closed) of the coin acceptor is in the correct position.
(2) Check whether the signal line of the coin acceptor is connected and the wiring method is correct.
(3) Check whether the power socket of the coin acceptor has poor contact.
(4) The COIN signal of the coin acceptor is output in the form of an open collector. Check whether a pull-up resistor is connected to the target board connected to the coin acceptor.
(5) Check whether the coin outlet of the coin acceptor can pass coins smoothly.
10. Why doesn’t the coin acceptor accept coins?
(1) Check whether the power socket of the coin acceptor is connected and whether the contact is poor. Check whether the power supply voltage of the coin acceptor is normal and whether it is 12V.
(2) Check whether the wiring of the coin acceptor is correct, especially the red wire is connected to the 12V positive pole and the black wire is connected to the 12V negative pole.
(3) Check whether there are foreign objects in the coin channel of the coin acceptor. Sometimes, it is necessary to prevent some sticky objects from blocking the money channel of the coin acceptor.
(4) If it is a comparative coin acceptor, check whether the sample coin is clamped well and whether it is correct.
(5) Check whether the electromagnet door opening strip of the coin acceptor is stuck and the electromagnet cannot be sucked.
(6) Check whether the coin outlet of the coin acceptor passes the coins smoothly.
11. Instructions for use of the comparative coin acceptor:
The so-called comparison coin acceptor is to clamp a mother coin (or sample coin) for comparison on one side of the coin acceptor. The coin acceptor will sample the parameters of the sample coin. When a coin is inserted, the coin acceptor will compare the inserted coin with the sample . If the parameters are consistent (within a set precision range), the coin will be accepted and the corresponding signal will be output.
If the parameters are inconsistent or the deviation is large, the coin will be returned instead of being accepted.
