SynQor has announced the addition of new members to its Mil-COTS 270V input DC-DC product line. These new isolated full-brick DC-DC converters are compact, efficient and high-power. They are based on SynQor's new generation of fixed switching frequency synchronous rectification technology, and their high power density helps facilitate industries with strict space requirements. This series of modules meets the MIL-STD-704 military standard and can convert 155-425V input voltage to an adjustable output voltage; the MCOTS-C-270-40-FE series has an adjustable output range of 10-40Vdc, while the MCOTS-270-60-FE series has an adjustable output range of 25-60Vdc.
Mil-COTS 270 series modules have an adjustable current limit function, which can support unlimited capacitive loads or battery power. When the load current demand is higher than the set current limit, they will work as a constant current source to provide an independent constant current to the load; conversely, when the operating current is lower than the set current limit, the converter will work as a stable voltage source to provide a fixed stable voltage to the load. Designers can select the output voltage by fine-tuning the resistor or adjusting the voltage setting pin. In addition, the converter is designed to achieve efficient power conversion over the full output power range and has low power consumption characteristics, ensuring that full power can be provided to the load when the baseplate temperature is as high as 95°C.
Highly flexible packaged modules are designed to handle the harshest military environments and are suitable for a variety of applications such as radar/pulse loads, battery charging, electronic warfare, RF power amplifiers, solid-state lasers, drones/unmanned submarines, rotary-wing aircraft, etc. They also have a range of advanced features, such as serial communication for module configuration and monitoring, integrated active current sharing for parallel applications, external clock synchronization for improved electromagnetic interference (EMI) performance, and over-temperature protection shutdown functions that enhance short-term combat capabilities when designers need to continue operating beyond a predetermined temperature range . SynQor's field-proven high-reliability technology shortens the design cycle and helps designers/suppliers provide reliable and trustworthy solutions for the highly competitive military market.
