Although price is not the final determining factor in this quality-first product market, higher cost performance with good quality can provide street lamp manufacturers with more profit margins and competitive advantages. At present, the application environment of LED street lamps sold in the domestic market is very complex. The main reason is that the power supply voltage is unstable. Under the condition of ordinary mains power supply, the actual input voltage often has a large deviation, and various unsafe factors such as surge impact always affect the normal operation of LED power supply, which requires the power supply to have a certain design margin. At present, the design margin of mainstream LED street lamp power supplies on the market is generally around 40%. 4. Lightning protection
Street lamps are installed outdoors, and lightning strikes are a very big threat. After years of research, the China Electric Huaxing Technology R&D Laboratory concluded that there are four main types of lightning strikes: direct lightning, conducted lightning, inductive lightning, and switch overvoltage. The most influential to power supply equipment is inductive lightning, which may generate voltages up to 5000KV or even higher, which is extremely destructive. In response to these problems, we have taken the following measures to cooperate with street lamp manufacturers to improve products and ensure that they are not struck by lightning. First, the external lightning protection of street lamps is combined with internal lightning protection. Down leads and simple grounding grids are set at the installation location of street lamps. These systems constitute an external lightning protection system. This system can prevent street lamps from causing fires and personal safety accidents caused by lightning strikes. The internal lightning protection system refers to the protection of street lamps by grounding and setting voltage protection inside the power supply. This system can prevent lightning and other forms of overvoltage from invading the equipment, causing equipment damage, which is something that the external lightning protection system cannot guarantee. The two complement each other. Internal lightning protection systems have many components such as housings, cables entering and exiting protected areas, and metal pipes that need to be connected to external lightning protection systems or overvoltage protectors, and equipotential connections. At present, China Huaxing LED street light power supply has passed the 8000KV surge voltage test, and no failures caused by lightning accidents have occurred in actual use. This is closely related to the technical research and development team's focus on design, scientific research, and customer-oriented concepts.
5. Energy saving and high efficiency
As we all know, the LED street lamp project is a representative project of the current national energy conservation and emission reduction project. In terms of light-emitting components, the characteristics of LED itself have achieved very good energy-saving effects, but power supply energy saving has been ignored by major manufacturers. Therefore, energy-saving power supplies will undoubtedly be the most important components of street lamp power supplies in the future. With years of focus on power supplies, China Huaxing has made great efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of power supplies. The current conversion efficiency of LED power supply products is as high as 90%, and some products are even as high as 95%, meeting the requirements of high efficiency in all applications.
