Wireless charging technology actually existed in the 19th century, but it has not been widely used in daily life in the 21st century. This is because at the current stage of technological development, there are still many unanswered questions about wireless charging technology.
Is it possible to live in a sea of electromagnetic radiation?
Nowadays, people are afraid of radiation. After experiencing the radiation panic caused by the 311 earthquake in Japan, people still reject radiation, which is invisible and intangible and has not yet been fully studied. In the past, people would rather use landlines than mobile phones to make calls. I guess they will have the same attitude towards wireless charging now. Use things in the unknown world as little as possible. Wireless charging will inevitably generate magnetic field line radiation due to the existence of inductors, but in terms of current radiation, wireless chargers basically convert AC power into DC power after rectification, and the power is extremely small. Industry insiders have also been emphasizing that it does not pose a threat to human health in theory. However, the issue of radiation is still the most concerned aspect.
Will it interfere with other electrical devices?
We all have this experience: when a mobile phone is placed next to a computer or TV, if a text message or call comes in, the computer or TV screen will be disturbed. If a wireless charger for charging is placed in the room, will it also interfere with many household appliances?
Is wireless charging more expensive than direct charging?
Any product can only be popularized if its cost is reduced to a level acceptable to the general public. After all, although wireless charging technology has been around for a long time, its application in charging is still a new thing. Wireless charging includes power management module, transmitting circuit, receiving conversion circuit and charging circuit, and it also involves a lot of patent fees. The cost must be higher than the currently widely used wired charging and universal charger. The market is the hard truth, and no manufacturer is willing to pay more money to promote high technology.
Are there any restrictions in its use?
At present, wireless chargers cannot achieve the same wide coverage as wireless networks. Although the charging plate and the receiver are two parts, they cannot be separated too far from each other, otherwise the charging efficiency will be greatly reduced or even unable to charge. It seems that it is far less convenient than we imagined.
Can the charging efficiency catch up with direct charging?
The charging conversion rate of wireless chargers is much lower than that of wired chargers. Currently, the highest rate can only reach 85%, which is also a waste of energy. Of course, this is already a very good effect. Saving wires wastes electricity, and the game in this is still to be proven. However, there is a prospect in the industry that with the advancement of future technology, the energy conversion efficiency of wireless charging will catch up with that of direct chargers.
Faced with many problems, they need to be thoroughly resolved before large-scale application can be achieved.
