New computing platform delivers 2x faster response times, award-winning interface and remote operation capabilities
Beijing, China , December 5 , 2023 – Tektronix, the industry’s leading provider of test and measurement solutions, and FTV Corporation (NYSE: FTV) recently jointly announced the launch of the 4 Series B mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO). Advanced analysis capabilities and cutting-edge measurement performance across all channels provide users with a smooth and efficient user experience.
Faster processing power
Targeted at embedded product designers who require exceptional accuracy, versatility and ease of use, the Tektronix 4 Series B MSO features bandwidth from 200 MHz to 1.5 GHz, up to 16-bit vertical resolution and 6.25 GS/s real-time sampling rate and achieves the same excellent signal fidelity as previous versions of the 4 Series. In addition, this product not only inherits the highly acclaimed touch-sensitive user interface of its predecessor, but also upgrades the processor system. Customers will be pleasantly surprised to find that the 4 Series B MSO user interface is more than twice as responsive as previous products , and advanced analytics capabilities also run significantly faster.
" Daryl Ellis, general manager of Tektronix' midrange product family , said:
“We designed the 4 Series B MSO so designers can analyze their systems faster to better cope with time-to-market pressures. The touch-enabled user interface is not only intuitive and informative, it is now even more responsive Agile. With the help of the 4 Series B MSO, our customers will be able to solve 99% of their mixed-signal design challenges and truly have fun solving them.”
More efficient and comprehensive analysis functions
With up to 6 input channels, the 4 Series B MSO is ideal for performing three-phase power analysis, and its unique spectrum view feature enables multi-channel spectrum analysis synchronized with the time domain waveform. In addition to improving front panel operation efficiency, the upgraded processor system can also increase the speed of remote operation. Users can remotely access and control the 4 Series B MSO using a simple web browser, dedicated TekScope PC software, or through custom programming supporting various communication interfaces.
With more than 25 serial decoding packages, the 4 Series B MSO can significantly reduce response time in a variety of applications including chip-to-chip, automotive, power supply, aerospace buses and more. In addition, the product speeds up algorithms and plots used in existing analysis software packages for power supply measurements, motor drive analysis and dual-pulse testing.
Jeffrey Miller , Tektronix 4 Series product planner, explained:
"The instrument's excellent accuracy and analysis capabilities can help design engineers cope with daily work challenges such as signal chain debugging, power analysis, protocol analysis, and noise analysis. The biggest difference between the 4 Series B MSO and other similar products is the excellent user experience and more Fast analysis speed.”
In addition, the 4 Series B MSO is equipped with a 13.3-inch (1920x1080) high-definition display and uses industry-leading optical bonding technology to achieve greater screen contrast and viewing angles. The 4 Series B MSO features 12-bit analog-to-digital converters and high sampling rates to capture a wide range of signal details.
Tektronix 4 Series B MSO is currently available globally.
