1. Mechanical zero adjustment
The purpose of mechanical zero adjustment is to make the initial value of the pointer coincide with the zero scale line. The method is as follows:
Disconnect the two test leads
Use a flat-blade screwdriver to adjust the mechanical zero adjustment screw in the middle of the dial until the pointer coincides with the zero scale line.
Note: Mechanical zero adjustment does not need to be made every time. It only needs to be made when the test leads are disconnected and the pointer does not coincide with the zero scale line.
2. Ohm zero adjustment
Ohm zero adjustment refers to the zero point calibration of the resistance range when measuring resistance. The method is as follows:
Set the range selector switch to the Ohm position
Short-circuit the two test leads (this is equivalent to measuring a resistance of 0)
Adjust the ohm zero adjustment knob so that the pointer points to the 0 ohm mark.
Please note the following:
Each time you change the resistance range, you must re-adjust the ohm zero to ensure measurement accuracy.
The short-circuit time between the two test leads should be as short as possible to avoid affecting the battery life.
If the ohm zero adjustment knob is turned to the end and the pointer still does not return to the zero scale, it means that the battery inside the multimeter is low and the battery should be replaced.
