The dry lint tester is also called a twist tester. This equipment is used to evaluate the lint test of nonwoven fabrics under dry conditions. It is mainly applicable to the evaluation of the lint performance of raw nonwoven fabrics and other textile materials used in medical protective materials (surgical sheets, surgical gowns, clean clothes, etc.). During the test, the test principle is: the sample is subjected to a combined effect of twisting and compression in the test chamber. During this twisting process, air is extracted from the test chamber, and the test results are evaluated by counting and classifying the particles in the air with a laser dust particle counter.

Test environment: Class 5 clean room (i.e. Class 100 clean environment)

1) Twisting device: a device that produces a comprehensive effect of twisting, compression, and resetting on the specimen

2) Torsion box (antistatic): an antistatic plexiglass box that covers the torsion device for testing

3) Air collector: fixed at a specific position in the torsion box, with a sampling port of a certain shape
