DC voltage measurement
1. Insert the black test lead into the COM jack and the red test lead into the V/Ω jack.
2. Set the function switch to the DC voltage position V-range, and connect the test leads to the power supply to be tested (to measure the open circuit voltage) or the load (to measure the load voltage drop).
AC voltage measurement
1. Insert the black test lead into the COM jack and the red test lead into the V/Ω jack.
2. Set the function switch to the AC voltage range of V~, and connect the test pen to the power supply or load to be tested.
Precautions for using the voltage range of a multimeter
(1) If the voltage range to be measured is unknown, set the function switch to a large range and gradually reduce the range (the range cannot be changed during measurement).
(2) If "1" is displayed, it means the range is over and the function switch should be set to a higher range.
(3) △! Indicates that you should not input a voltage higher than the voltage required by the multimeter. It is possible to display a higher voltage value, but there is a risk of damaging the internal circuit.
(4) When measuring high voltage, special attention should be paid to avoid electric shock.
(5) The internal resistance of the voltage range of the digital meter is very large, at least in the megohm level, and has little effect on the measured circuit. However, the extremely high output impedance makes it susceptible to the influence of induced voltage. In some occasions with strong electromagnetic interference, the measured data may be false. It is necessary to avoid the influence of external magnetic fields on the multimeter (for example, when high-power electrical devices are in use).
(6) When using a multimeter, do not touch the metal part of the test leads with your hands. This can ensure accurate measurement and personal safety.
