A method to modify a VCD player with positive voltage

The battery can only output positive voltage. If the VCD player to be modified requires both positive and negative voltages, it is generally difficult to modify it. The modification method of the VCD player using positive voltage is introduced below for those who are interested to try.
An assembled VCD player, the servo mainboard model is PCB803, and the decompression board model is Winbond W9925. The mainboard power supply is +8V, the decompression board power supply is +5V, and the power supply circuit is shown in the figure.
During modification, in order to facilitate restoration in the future and not damage the original circuit, only wires are soldered to the pins of each main filter capacitor and led out of the machine. A boat-shaped switch is installed at an appropriate position outside the machine. It is best to install a 2A to 3A rectifier tube in the boat-shaped switch to prevent the VCD player from being damaged by the wrong battery polarity. The wiring method is shown in the dotted part of the figure.
When in use, close the switch, and when not in use, turn off the switch. This simple modification method does not conflict with each other when using the mains power supply, and is safe and convenient.
