The electromagnetic flowmeter measures through a smooth straight pipe without flow-blocking detection parts. The resistance of the instrument is only the resistance along the same length of the pipeline, which has a significant energy-saving effect. The measured volume flow is actually not significantly affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity (as long as it is above a certain threshold). The measurement range is large. To truly bring into play the excellent performance of the electromagnetic flowmeter such as high precision and high stability, it is necessary to pay attention to selecting the corresponding type of flowmeter according to different measurement media.
1. Selection of large flow meters for tap water: Electromagnetic flowmeters and ultrasonic flowmeters are suitable. Other flowmeters such as vortex flowmeters and orifice flowmeters have faded out of this application field. These two types of flowmeters are the most important measuring instruments in this industry.
2. Selection of metering instruments for turbid liquids such as sewage and pulp: 1. Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter and electromagnetic flowmeter can be used. However, when selecting an electromagnetic flowmeter, it should be considered that the liquid does not contain much air or bubbles.
3. Selection of measuring instruments for liquids with many bubbles: Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter can be selected. This type of flowmeter is very effective in measuring fluids with bubbles.
4. Selection of flow meters for pure water, demineralized water and other low conductivity fluids: Ultrasonic flow meters are very suitable for measuring such fluids.
5. Selection of flow meters for highly corrosive media such as acid and alkali: 1. Electromagnetic flowmeter with acid and alkali resistant lining. 2. Clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter.
6. Selection of flow meters for media with high concentration and high solid particle content such as mortar and electric powder slurry: electromagnetic flowmeter.
7. Selection of flow meters for oil, diesel and other oil media: ultrasonic flowmeter.
8. Selection of gas flowmeter: 1. Ultrasonic gas flowmeter. 2. Vortex flowmeter. If the gas temperature exceeds 300℃, a gas pressure flowmeter can be selected.
