How to correctly select the installation point of the electromagnetic flowmeter
1. The electromagnetic flowmeter should select a straight pipe section filled with liquid, such as a vertical section of the pipeline (preferably flowing from bottom to top) or a horizontal pipe filled with liquid (preferably the lowest point in the entire pipeline). During the installation and measurement process, a non-full pipe situation must not occur;
2. The measurement position should be selected at a straight pipe section with a length greater than 5D upstream and 3D downstream;
3. The measurement point should be selected as far away as possible from pumps, valves and other equipment to avoid interference with the measurement;
4. The measurement point should be selected as far away as possible from high-power radio stations, strong magnetic field interference sources, etc.
Special attention should be paid when choosing the installation location

· The axis of the measuring electrode must be approximately horizontal.
· The measuring pipe must be completely filled with liquid.
· There must be a straight pipe section of at least 5xD (D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter) in front of the flowmeter and a straight pipe section of at least 3xD (D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter) in length behind it. To facilitate installation and disassembly, a pipe expansion joint can be installed behind the flowmeter.
· The flow direction of the fluid is consistent with the arrow direction of the flowmeter;
· There must be a vacuum in the pipeline, which will damage the lining of the flowmeter, so special attention should be paid;
· There should be no strong electromagnetic field near the flowmeter;
· There should be ample space near the flowmeter for installation and maintenance;
· If the measuring pipeline vibrates, there should be fixed supports on both sides of the flowmeter;
· When measuring mixed liquids of different media, the distance between the mixing point and the flowmeter must be at least 30×D (D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter);
· In order to facilitate the cleaning and maintenance of the flowmeter in the future, a bypass pipeline should be installed, and a straight pipe section of 5D in front and 3D behind the flowmeter should be ensured.
· When installing a flowmeter with a polytetrafluoroethylene liner, the bolts connecting the two flanges should be tightened evenly, otherwise the polytetrafluoroethylene liner is easily crushed. It is best to use a torque wrench.

If the pipe drop exceeds 5m, install an exhaust valve downstream of the sensor.
· The control valve and cut-off valve should be installed downstream of the sensor, not upstream of the sensor.
· The sensor must not be installed at the inlet or outlet of the pump, but at the outlet of the pump.
· The way to install the flow meter in the measuring well :
1. Inlet 2. Overflow pipe 3. Inlet grid
4. Cleaning hole 5. Flow meter 6. Short pipe
7. Outlet 8. Discharge valve 9. Drain valve
