Both throttling flowmeter and V-cone flowmeter are common flowmeter types in our daily production and life. The advantages of V-cone flowmeter in use are relatively clear to everyone, so what are the product advantages of throttling flowmeter? The following experts from China Sensor Trading Network will give you a simple comparison.

The throttling flowmeter is a typical differential pressure flowmeter and is currently the most commonly used flow meter in industrial production to measure the flow of gas, liquid and steam.

According to survey statistics, about (70-80)% of the flowmeters used in industrial production systems such as steel mills and oil refineries are throttling flowmeters. In the entire industrial production field, throttling flowmeters also account for more than half of the total number of flow meters. The reason why throttling flowmeters are so widely used is mainly because they have the following two very prominent advantages:

① It has simple structure, easy installation, reliable operation, low cost, and a certain degree of accuracy, which can meet the needs of engineering measurement.

② It has a long history of use, rich and reliable experimental data, and its design and processing have been standardized. As long as the throttling flowmeter is designed and processed according to the standard, it does not need to be calibrated and can measure the flow within a known uncertainty range.

Especially the second advantage makes the throttling flowmeter very convenient in manufacturing and use. Because for a flowmeter, especially a flowmeter for measuring large flow, various difficulties will be encountered during calibration.

A throttling flowmeter usually consists of a throttling device that can convert fluid flow into a differential pressure signal and a differential pressure gauge that measures the differential pressure and displays the flow. The throttling device installed in the flow pipeline is also called the "primary device", which includes a throttling device, a pressure taking device, and the front and rear straight pipe sections. The display device is also called the "secondary device", which includes the instrumentation required for the differential pressure signal pipeline and measurement.

This is the comparison between the throttling flowmeter and the V-cone flowmeter. I hope that in actual use, you can distinguish between these two flow meters.
