V-cone flowmeter (also called inner cone flowmeter, cone flowmeter, V-cone) is a new type of differential pressure flow measurement device with a pointed cone coaxially installed in the measuring tube as a throttling piece.
It is a new type of high-precision differential pressure flowmeter, which has the advantages of classic Venturi tube, annular orifice plate and V-cone flowmeter, small pressure loss, good stability of discharge coefficient, and short required length of front and rear straight pipe sections.
The V-cone flowmeter not only inherits the advantages of good stability and strong versatility of the traditional differential pressure flowmeter, but its unique conical throttling physical structure avoids the limitations of the traditional differential pressure flowmeter.
It can be used to measure the flow of various liquids, gases and steam in industries such as metallurgy, petrochemicals, chemicals, natural gas transportation and electric power.
Long-term use has proved that the V-cone flowmeter has the following performance characteristics: low straight pipe section requirements; the V-cone flowmeter adopts a unique central streamlined structure and the rectifying effect of the wing-shaped support, which cleverly solves the problem of rectifying long straight pipe sections.
It can reshape the flow velocity curve and directly rectify the fluid with irregular flow rate into a near-ideal fluid in the upstream and downstream areas close to the cone (0.5~2D in front and 0~1D in the back), which can fully meet the requirements of Bernoulli's theorem and obtain high measurement accuracy and repeatability.
