In recent years, due to the increasingly fierce competition in international oil prices, the need to improve oil field productivity has led to higher requirements for the development, production and management of oil fields, especially for the accuracy of single well measurement data. In the
past, the traditional measurement methods of glass tube oil measurement and flow metering oil both had disadvantages to varying degrees, as shown below: glass tube oil measurement has poor safety performance, high labor intensity, flow metering oil is easy to get stuck, the failure rate is high, and the oil measurement time is long. At present, the Zhongyuan Oilfield is in a high water content development period, with decreasing production capacity, high water content, and many intermittent wells. These two single well oil measurement methods have shortcomings and are difficult to meet the needs of oil field development, production and management. How to choose a safe, reliable, convenient, fast and highly automated oil measurement method is a problem that plagues measurement technicians.

After multiple comparisons and certifications, as well as multiple field investigations and explorations, the technical staff has developed a method to select a magnetic flap level gauge based on the glass tube oil meter, and to install a signal remote transmission device based on the magnetic flap level meter oil meter, and to equip it with a level transmitter and an intelligent integrator. The magnetic flap level gauge detects the height of the liquid volume rising in the separator in a single well, and then stores and accumulates it in the intelligent integrator through the level transmitter and data acquisition processor, thus realizing the intelligent integrator of oil and gas production. In the intelligent integrator, it is possible to observe the changes in the liquid level in a timely manner, and to record the oil measurement data.
What are the advantages of this new level measurement device? This needs to be concluded from the comparison with the original measurement method:

1 Problems with the original measurement method
1. 1 Glass tube level measurement oil
In the process of oil field development and production, the most primitive and common measurement method for wellhead production is glass tube level measurement oil. When measuring oil with glass tube level: (1) The labor intensity is high. When measuring oil, the process must be reversed first, and the single well and separator inlet and outlet valves must be opened and closed. After the process is reversed, the operator must stare at the glass tube and observe the rise of the liquid level. After measuring the oil, the process must be reversed again, the liquid level must be released, and the single well and separator inlet and outlet valves must be opened and closed. When measuring low-yielding wells and intermittent wells, the waiting time is long. In some stations, there are more wells than staff, especially in double stations. When measuring oil with glass tubes at the same time, the operators are too busy to handle the work and problems such as over-liquid level may occur. (2) Data calculation is cumbersome. The data recorded on site is the height of the liquid level rise, which needs to be converted into volume manually. (3) The working environment is poor. In summer, the temperature inside the elevated metering station is high. Working in such an environment is prone to heat stroke, which is not good for the health of employees. (4) The safety performance is low. During use, the glass tubes of some stations have burst, posing a safety hazard. The glass tubes burst when measuring oil, causing harm to the employees. The glass tubes burst when not measuring oil, which can reduce the loss of crude oil if discovered in time. If discovered in time, a large amount of crude oil will leak, causing certain economic losses.
1. 2 Flow metering oil
With the development and production of the oil field, Pucheng Oilfield has entered a high water content development period, with decreasing production capacity, high water content, and many intermittent wells. The use of flow metering oil: (1) The oil measurement time is long, 1 to 2 hours for each well. For metering stations with more single wells, it is impossible to guarantee that each well is measured once a day; (2) The measurement range cannot meet the measurement requirements. A metering station may have a few wells or more than 20 wells. As the production of a single well decreases naturally, the production of some wells is very low, less than the minimum flow range of the flow meter, and the flow meter cannot accurately measure the production; (3) The failure rate is high. Impurities such as water, sand, and salt in crude oil cause serious corrosion and wear on the flow meter, causing serious damage to the running parts of the flow meter, frequent blockage, large measurement errors, and inaccurate production measurement, which seriously affects the normal operation of single well oil measurement.

2 Features of the magnetic flap intelligent oil meter
Compared with the commonly used glass tube level gauge and flow meter oil,
the magnetic flap intelligent oil meter has the following features: (1) The safety performance is greatly improved. The liquid level measurement part of the magnetic flap level gauge is composed of a stainless steel tube and a magnetic float. There is no similar glass tube bursting situation, eliminating safety hazards.
(2) Reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency. The magnetic flap intelligent oil meter is equipped with a liquid level transmitter and an intelligent integrator. The liquid level rise and oil measurement data can be viewed at any time on the display instrument in the duty room. It is also equipped with upper and lower limit liquid level alarms. When measuring oil, the operator does not need to stare at the liquid level gauge on site. After reversing the process, he can do other work.
(3) From the more cumbersome manual calculation to the intelligent calculation of the integrator, the magnetic flap intelligent oil meter has an intelligent integrator function, which can directly display the station number, well number, oil measurement time and output. The oil measurement data is changed from manual calculation to automatic calculation by the integrator, reducing human errors and ensuring that the measurement data is true and reliable.
(4) Oil measurement is not limited by time. As long as the liquid level reaches the set height, the single well oil measurement can be completed. For metering stations with more single wells, each well can be measured once a day.
(5) Low failure rate, simple structure, no mechanical transmission parts in the measuring part, the metering process is not affected by impurities such as water, sand, and salt in the crude oil, easy and fast to use and maintain, ensuring the normal operation of single well oil measurement.
3 Field application effect and economic benefits
We installed and tested it at Station 9 and Station 64 in the first area of ​​Pucheng Oilfield at the end of 2008. Judging from the use, the effect is good. It began to be promoted in 2009 and has been installed and used in 36 metering stations.
The application of the magnetic flap intelligent oil measuring instrument, from the perspective of economic and social benefits, first, greatly improves safety performance, ensures production safety, and ensures the personal safety of employees; second, reduces labor intensity and improves work efficiency. Whether it is a station with many wells or a double station, after the process is completed, there is no need to stare at the level gauge, and the operator can do other work, especially in summer, when the temperature in the elevated metering station is high, it can avoid the situation of high temperature and heat stroke caused by working in such a harsh environment, and ensure that employees work in an environment that is conducive to their health; third, the oil measurement data is changed from manual calculation to intelligent integrator calculation, which not only reduces the workload, but also reduces human errors, ensuring that the measurement data is true and reliable. The
magnetic flap intelligent oil measuring instrument makes up for the shortcomings of glass tube oil measurement and flow metering oil, and has unique innovations. The successful application of the magnetic flap intelligent oil measuring instrument has certain promotion value for the future single well oil measurement of metering stations.
