Ultrasonic flaw detector is a commonly used testing instrument , which has certain applications in many industries. Ultrasonic flaw detectors need regular maintenance not only when in use, but also when not in use. If it is not used for a long time, there will be errors in the measurement data, which are caused by improper maintenance during storage. So what is the maintenance method of ultrasonic flaw detectors during storage? Let me introduce it to you in detail below.

  1. Storage:

After using the flaw detector, clean the surface and place it in a dry and ventilated room. Avoid direct sunlight, rain, oil, corrosive gas, etc., and avoid strong vibration and extrusion. Avoid bending or stressing the probe connection. Hold the root of the plug when plugging or unplugging.

  2. Power supply method:

  1. When using ultrasonic flaw detectors, AC and DC power supply methods are generally used. When the DC battery voltage is too low, the flaw detector will sound an alarm reminder; the battery power level is indicated in the lower left corner of the ultrasonic flaw detector screen. When the battery power Bat display value is less than 10, the data should be saved as soon as possible to avoid data loss; or plug in the charging power supply to charge the battery, and the device should be turned off during the charging process. Otherwise, the ultrasonic flaw detector will automatically shut down and cause the loss of detection data. Please use the charger attached to the ultrasonic flaw detector to charge the battery, and normal work can be performed during charging. Charging means that the battery enters a self-protection state due to insufficient power. In the battery protection state, the instrument will not be able to start up. At this time, the battery should be charged. Plug the charger charging plug into the charging socket of the instrument, and plug the charger into the AC 220V/50Hz mains socket, prompt.

  2. Note: If the above plug-in order is reversed, it may sometimes cause the ultrasonic thickness gauge to not charge normally. After plugging in, please check the charging indicator to ensure that the charger indicator turns red and enters the normal charging state; when the charger indicator turns green, it means that the charging is complete if the battery is normal. Please charge the battery once a month when the ultrasonic flaw detector is not used for a long time to extend the battery life.

  3. Powered by lithium batteries We have pre-installed large-capacity lithium-ion batteries in the ultrasonic flaw detector. After fully charged, it can provide continuous operation for more than several hours. If you need to work continuously for a longer time, you can equip it with a set of backup batteries. As the number of charge and discharge times increases, the continuous working time that the lithium battery can provide may decrease, which is normal.

  3. According to the determined flaw detection method, correctly select the appropriate probe and sensitivity test block.

  4. If the instrument is not used for a long time, it should be powered on once every half a month.
