The questions in Week 16 focus on probes. Agilent Technologies has just launched an active probe called InfiniiMode. Please refer to the document http://cp.literature.agilent.com/litweb/pdf/5991-0560EN.pdf  . There are three models: N2750A (1.5GHz), N2751A (3.5GHz), and N2752A (6GHz). Four different voltages can be measured with one connection. Usually, a differential signal has three measured points, the positive end A, the negative end B, and the ground G. After one connection, this probe can measure four voltages, namely differential signal AB, single-ended signal A to ground, single-ended signal B to ground, and common mode signal (A+B)/2. This technology or product is applied to 1.5GHz and 3.5GHz bandwidth probes for the first time, giving more engineers the opportunity to use it. Let's take this opportunity to review the basic concepts of probes.

Question 16-1: InfiniiMode is a new type of active probe. In addition to the above-mentioned one probe, one connection can measure 4 different voltages. There is also an additional control button on the probe. Which of the following operations does this button support? (Multiple choice questions)
a. Turn on or off the LED light on the front end of the probe to illuminate the location of the measured point
b. Automatically set the oscilloscope (Autoscale)
c. InfiniiMode mode, measure 4 voltage waveforms
d. Quickly measure or save the waveform screen
e. Voice control of the oscilloscope

Question 16-2: When you connect the probe to the object being measured, because the probe has R, L and C parameters, the signal you see is different from the actual signal, and the circuit being measured will also be affected. There is an industry term for this phenomenon. Do you know it?

Question 16-3: We often try to adjust some accessories of the probe, or choose to use a different probe to reduce the influence of the probe itself on the measurement. Which of the following statements will not reduce the influence of the probe on the measurement?
a. Use a shorter ground wire
b. Use a probe with a smaller capacitive load
c. Use a probe with a smaller resistance
d. Use a shorter ground wire to connect the signal first
