There are large and small cooling water pipes around the blast furnace to ensure the normal and efficient operation of the blast furnace. The overall view of the blast furnace is shown in Figure (0-1) and Figure (0-2).
The flow rate of each cooling water pipe of the blast furnace is monitored by an ultrasonic flow meter. For details, please refer to Figure (1-1) - Figure (1-4).
Beijing Peking University Science and Technology Industry Development Center has completed several blast furnace soft water closed circulation cooling water ultrasonic monitoring systems in recent years.
Figure (2-1) - Figure (2-2) are some pictures of the Qian'an (blast furnace) project ultrasonic monitoring system:
Figure 3 shows a smaller blast furnace in Shouqin, which used 84 ultrasonic flow meters, and the secondary instruments were installed in three cabinets; Figure 4 is the Shougang blast furnace, which uses a total of 128 ultrasonic flow meters, with secondary instruments installed in four cabinets. The flow measurement points are distributed around the blast furnace, 150-250 meters away from the cabinet. The cabinet is set in the control room and provides real-time flow data to the main computer for control, management and monitoring of the normal operation of the blast furnace.
The ultrasonic flowmeter used in the figure is a special instrument for blast furnaces in the BST-2112 model designed and produced by the Science and Technology Industry Development Center of Peking University.
