Two years ago, Macroblock Technology was optimistic that LED displays would bring innovation to the film and television industry, and further extended its product line to virtual production applications. Through close cooperation with various partners, we have a deeper understanding of the hardware specifications that LED displays must have in the shooting environment. Macroblock has developed a dedicated driver chip for this application, which is suitable for different types of virtual production. Whether it is commercial shooting, MV shooting or high-end movie shooting, etc., there are suitable products that can enable LED displays to achieve HDR effects and meet shooting requirements such as high brightness, high grayscale, high refresh rate, and high resolution.
Beijing Huanying Jiyuan Virtual Production Studio was officially established in 2021. It combines LED display screens, professional shooting equipment, real-time 3D creation tools, etc. to provide film and television creators with "efficient, easy-to-use, and cost-effective" virtual visualization shooting solutions. The LED background of this studio is 22 square meters with a dot pitch of P1.8. It uses Macroblock MBI5264, which can achieve 16-bit grayscale and 3840Hz refresh rate, so that the LED display screen can present rich picture details and meet the camera shooting requirements. In addition, it is also equipped with a 20-square-meter LED sky curtain, which helps to create a real ambient light source.
