Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, today announced that the Qualcomm® XR Enterprise Program, first launched at the Enterprise Wearable Technology Summit 2019, has doubled its membership. The Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program is designed to accelerate the adoption of XR, including VR and AR, across multiple industries, including architecture, engineering and construction, aviation, automotive, education, energy, entertainment, food and beverage, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, transportation and tourism. The program provides member companies with global community resources, promotional and joint marketing opportunities, business development, and opportunities to learn about Qualcomm Technologies' future software and hardware product roadmaps and product features, among other benefits.

Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program members have already disrupted multiple industries in their first year of development.

Mitchell International recently launched Mitchell Intelligent Vision, the first hands-free, standalone XR solution integrated into the collision repair workflow. Leveraging Mitchell’s patent-pending technology and the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Mobile XR Platform, the solution was made possible by the long-standing relationship between Qualcomm Technologies and Realwell.

Spatial, a collaboration platform that connects remote teams in a 3D workspace, will deliver collaborative AR experiences to mass markets through global operator channels with the launch of XR headsets in 2021. With support and introduction from Qualcomm Technologies, Deutsche Telekom (Germany), KDDI (Japan) and LG Uplus (South Korea) will sell Nreal XR Viewers that connect to 5G smartphones powered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 855 or 865 Mobile Platforms and have Spatial software built in.

XRHealth, a provider of remote health VR solutions, has established a connection with Pico Interactive through the Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program. XRHealth currently pre-installs its VR therapy platform on Pico VR devices powered by Snapdragon platforms to meet the growing demand for remote health care and medical solutions to maintain social distance during the epidemic.

VictoryXR, a leader in XR educational content, has collaborated with Qualcomm Technologies’ ODM partners through the Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program to launch the Pico-VictoryXR bundle, VR in a Box, an affordable headset designed for one-on-one classroom communication, and the VictoryXR Academy content platform, which includes 54 educational courses and 240 unique VR educational experiences.

“As we work to advance the XR industry around the world, we are also driving innovation in XR technology for the enterprise market,” said Brian Vogelsang, senior director, product management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “We are proud of what the members of the Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program have accomplished in their first year. As the demand for collaboration and remote work, skills training, education and learning, data visualization, and healthcare solutions grows, we believe this group of innovative members will play a key role in meeting the market’s growing needs.”

PTC, an industrial IoT and digital transformation services provider, is one of the latest members of the Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program. The XR Enterprise Program is committed to providing enterprises with diversified experiences. PTC can help enterprises optimize business performance and productivity and transform the way they work in multiple industries.

“Advanced technologies such as IoT and AR are critical to industrial companies’ transformation and ability to operate at peak efficiency,” said Mike Campbell, executive vice president of augmented reality products and general manager of Vuforia at PTC. “Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and our partnership with other Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program members will help drive adoption of more cost-effective, customized AR solutions for our industrial enterprise customers.”
