Exhibition Invitation | Renesas Electronics brings a variety of advanced automotive electronics solutions to the 2022 Munich South China Electronics Show

Renesas Electronics (TSE: 6723), a global supplier of semiconductor solutions, announced that it will bring a variety of advanced solutions for ADAS/AD, automotive gateways, smart cockpits and new energy vehicles to the 2022 South China Electronics Show in Munich (hereinafter referred to as: Munich Exhibition), booth number: Hall 2 2A6.


This exhibition will be held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Baoan New Hall) from November 15th to 17th, 2022. At that time, technical experts from Renesas Electronics will be on hand to demonstrate how Renesas Electronics applies innovative automotive electronics technologies and solutions to the automotive field to assist the development of the automotive market.

Automotive server/communication gateway solutions

Renesas Electronics offers "Automotive Computer 4", an ideal platform for developing applications such as gateways, automotive servers and domain controllers, helping to realize next-generation E/E architecture. The solution is based on R-Car S4, an advanced system-on-chip (SoC) with an embedded MCU core that operates at ultra-low power consumption. Combined with the PMIC (RAA271041+RAA271005) developed for R-Car Gen4, it achieves excellent power control and functional safety support.

R-Car V4H autonomous driving development platform

This solution builds a complete environment for developing autonomous driving system applications equivalent to Level 2+ and Level 3, including adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keeping, automatic parking systems, etc. The R-Car V4H reference board supports multiple camera inputs, including 4K high-resolution input, 4K display output, audio output, network communication interface and Gen 4 PCIe for parallel operation of multiple ECUs.

Smart Cockpit and Infotainment Solutions

The integrated smart cockpit solution integrates full LCD virtual instruments, multimedia playback, ADAS image recognition and other functions, and drives three screen displays at the same time. The solution uses a combination of R-Car H3/M3 system-on-chip (SoC), power management chip (PMIC) and programmable clock generator to support high image quality, multi-video display output and various memory interfaces. Make full use of the built-in Arm ® Cortex ® -R7 CPU and 2D GPU, IMR and other units to achieve quick startup.

Automotive battery management system (BMS)

The reference design can be used as a complete automotive battery management system to monitor up to 70 lithium-ion batteries in series. The RH850 MCU communicates with the ISL78714 multi-cell lithium-ion battery management device to monitor cell voltage, battery pack temperature and current, log major fault detection and control cell balancing. The reference design is based on the ISL78714BMS5XBEKIT1Z automotive-grade multi-cell lithium-ion battery management system reference design kit.


Renesas is committed to providing a rich "success portfolio" application solutions, namely MCU and SoC-based applications (which can achieve system-level optimization through Renesas' complementary analog signal and power products), to help automotive users shorten product development time to accelerate product launch. At the same time, the recently launched new integrated development environment platform allows engineers to quickly create software for automotive ECUs (electronic control units) containing multiple hardware devices.
