Design of writing LED dot matrix display screen This paper designs a low-cost device that can easily and simply input and display information through a writing pen. The single-chip microcomputer is used as the microcontroller, and the display module is composed of 32×32 dot matrix LEDs. Combined with row and column scanning drive logic circuits, a program is written to control all LED points to work in two states: scanning micro-brightness and stable lighting. A new type of light pen is composed of a photosensitive transistor and a comparator. The light pen detects the scanning micro-brightness of the LED under the pen tip to make the controller enter an interrupt and record the coordinate number of the current scanning point, thereby realizing information input and LED screen display control. The designed LED display screen does not require data transmission and communication, and inputs information by writing with a light pen. It does not require a touch device. It can achieve 40 points in 2s to meet the requirements of smooth writing. It can be widely used in advertising display occasions that require frequent changes in published content.
