Industrial Ethernet EtherCAT has excellent real-time performance. In order to further improve the real-time performance of industrial control, this paper innovatively proposes a new EtherCAT master station architecture based on Linux-RTAI; at the same time, its working principle is elaborated in detail. Finally, it is tested on the Atom D520 industrial computer. The experimental results show that the architecture has excellent real-time performance and is very suitable for high real-time control occasions.
