Introduction to MTK chips [pic] I will briefly talk about the various MTK chips here. MT6205, MT6217, MT6218, MT6219, MT6226, MT6227, MT6228 are all baseband chips, so the chips all use ARM7 cores. MT6305 and MT6305B are power management chips. MT6129 is an RF chip. RF3146 (7×7mm), RF3146D (dual-band), and RF3166 (6×6mm) are RFMD PAs. MT6205 is the earliest solution, with only basic GSM functions, and does not support GPRS, WAP, MP3 and other functions. (MP in 2003) MT6218 adds GPRS, WAP, and MP3 functions to MT6205. MT6217 is a cost-down solution for MT6218, which is PIN TOPIN with MT6128, but the software is different. In addition, MT6217 supports 16-bit data. (2004 MP) MT6219 is a 1.3M camera processing IC with built-in AIT on MT6218, and MP4 function is added. 8-bit data. (2005 MP) MT6226 is a cost-down product of MT6219, with built-in 0.3M camera processing IC, supporting GPRS, WAP, MP3, MP4, etc. The internal configuration is optimized and improved compared with MT6219. For example, the Bluetooth can be equipped with a very cheap chip CSR BC03 module USD3 to support data transmission (such as listening to stereo MP3, etc.). MT6226M is a high-configuration design of MT6226, with built-in 1.3M camera processing IC. (2006 MP) MT6227 has basically the same functions as MT6226, PIN TO PIN, but built-in 2.0M camera processing IC. (2006 MP) MT6228 adds TV compared to MT6227…
