This paper briefly introduces the principle of the improved Euler method and gives examples to illustrate its software design method and application in power system transient analysis. The transient stability analysis of power systems is directly related to the operational safety of power systems, and the swing (δ − t ) curve of generators is one of the important bases for analyzing the transient stability of power systems and obtaining the fault limit removal time. The essence of obtaining the (δ − t ) curve is to solve the rotor motion equation of the generator. The improved Euler method is a method for solving the rotor motion equation that is very suitable for computer calculations.
