AbstractIn order to improve the detection distance and detection sensitivity of pyroelectric infrared sensors, this paper proposes a basic design method for a pyroelectric infrared sensor with high sensitivity. This pyroelectric infrared sensor uses a sine wave current generator and an electromagnetic coil to generate electromagnetic force to drive the convex lens to swing slightly. After the pyroelectric infrared signal to be detected is focused by the filter lens and the swinging convex lens, its infrared light focus also swings slightly. In this way, the pyroelectric sensitive element installed on the movement trajectory of the infrared light focus is continuously scanned by the infrared light focus to generate a self-sampled pyroelectric signal. Since the convex lens has a large light receiving area and more infrared light is focused, the detection sensitivity of the pyroelectric infrared sensor is improved. Generally speaking, for the same pyroelectric sensitive element, the detection distance of the self-sampling pyroelectric infrared sensor can reach more than 3 times that of the Fresnel lens type.
